The time I made a bride cry
When I got hired to do my first mobile bridal hair trial, i was sick to my stomach nervous.
I took my time to spray her hair and keep her curls in small sections, holding them until they were cool. She chose a waterfall braid, a half up with a bump in back.
When her hairstyle was complete, she went into the bathroom to have a look and, after a moment, came out in tears.
I saw her tears, and I broke into tears as well, thinking I had messed up, but of course, it was quite the opposite. She said she had never felt more beautiful and hired me for wedding hair for four.
It was amazing to me to be able to make someone feel such a special way, and it meant the world to me. That 1st wedding was amazing and it went perfectly. Every time I get a new booking I am just as excited as the first time. And every time I hand a bride a mirror, im just as nervous.
These days, I’m still excited to do hair every single time for any event, season, or reason.
